Stroke disappear when finger is lifted

This usually happens when the palm rejection sensitivity is set to too high.

Please try setting palm rejection Sensitivity to Low in Options > Settings > Palm Rejection. Higher settings will reject touches that have large contact area with the screen. Does it work?
