SUMMARY

This issue was introduced in version 5.4.2402.1403 released on February 14, 2024, resolved in version 5.6.2409.701 released on September 9, 2024, then reintroduced in version 5.7.2410.1403 released on October 15, 2024.

BUG DEFINITION

When the Check for Bugfix Updates checkbox option is checked, and the update check is preformed (occurs once a day), the consumer receives a prompt stating A new Recast Software release is available!

UNEXPECTED USER EXPERIENCE

     The prompt is a link for the currently installed version.

     

EXPECTED USER EXPERIENCE

     If the version check is working correctly:

          The prompt is a link for the bugfix update version.

     Otherwise:

          No prompt.

NOTES

  • Add Remove Programs Recast Console Extension version matches affected version.
  • Desktop Installed Version within the Right-Click Tools Console Extension version matches affected version.
  • Server Installed Version within the Right-Click Tools Console Extension version matches affected version.
