Recent experience

World Nomads Group (2011 - present)

  • Javascript (inc. jQuery and AngularJS), C#, HTML/SASS, NodeJS, Adobe Creative Suite.

At WNG I am the lead front end developer and also a full stack developer and designer. The role involves responsibility for the front end on all production websites, interfacing between the business and creative teams, and developing full stack features for their insurance platform. It is a scrum/agile environment which uses Atlassian software for developer management.

Helix Technologies (2013 - 2014)

  • Javascript (inc. Angular JS), iOS, HTML/SASS, NodeJS, Adobe Creative Suite.

This full stack and design role involved rapid prototyping and fast iterations of startup concepts. Amongst the projects were a native iOS project lead by Lars Rasmussen (Google Maps) where I designed and prototyped, a wedding services startup written in AngularJS where I was involved in features on the front end and a branding exericse. I worked this role one full day a week and also in my spare time.

Inner Core (2009 - 2010)

  • Ruby on Rails, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Adobe Creative Suite.

This contract role set a foundation for my development career. The Ruby on Rails shop exposed me to client meetings, BDD, Agile methodoligies and backend/frontend full stack development. The small team with limited resources taught me the importance of MVP and rapid prototyping. The role also instilled the idea of being able to take a product feature from design phase through to production.

Stanisic Associates (2008 - 2009)

As a graduate Architect at Stanisic Associates, responsibilties included office administration, model making, CADing, 3D rendering and heavy use of the Adobe Creative Suite for DA related documentation. The role taught the importance of deadlines, constraints and how to interpret design briefs in high pressure situations.
