-- Bootstrap comes packaged with Carousel - carousel.js - with optional captions
- Slider Pro ($25, but no image of the day option; looks awesome!) Bought for Helen Morse site because of its great features.

- Meta Slider (responsive; lots of options; http://www.metaslider.com/) (GDL, new ACM site, TWR)

- Layer Slider Responsive WP Slider plug-in http://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-responsive-wordpress-slider-plugin-/1362246 (Zamir)

- Soliloquy - https://wordpress.org/plugins/soliloquy-lite/ (free) http://soliloquywp.com/ ($19 for 1 site; $99 developer's license)
- Soliloquy Lite – Responsive WordPress Slider
Soliloquy is a very popular WordPress slider plugin, which is paid, but now there is also available free and lite version of this plugin. What makes this plugin special is that it is really simple to add sliders wherever you want with just a few clicks. Paid version is very popular in the WP development community. I think it's pricey. Per year $ subscription not my cup of tea.

- Smart Slider https://smartslider3.com/ (looks really good; free version; maybe try it for BGA)

- Revolution Slider (Zamir's U-Design theme; no vertical nav for thumbnails yet)

- Portfolio Slideshow (was used on Zamir, BCF, ACM) Loved it & use it on many sites, but no photo of the day option.

- WP Photo Album Plus (Weddings testing; more robust in features)
** CODING NOTES **
WP Photo Album Plus ‹ Insert the following code to generate the photo of the
day in a post or a page:
%%wppa%%
%%photo=#potd%%
%%size=450%%
%%align=right%%
code for another slider = bracket | wp_cycle | end bracket
code for another slider = bracket | portfolio_slideshow
include=²63,64,66,67² timeout=30,000 | end bracket

- Thumbnail Gallery ($15 Code Canyon) (vertical thumbs) http://codecanyon.net/item/thumbnail-gallery-wordpress-plugin/294024

- Slidedeck ‹ http://www.slidedeck.com/ (1 option for thumbnails navigation) is a powerful jQuery slider plugin that can be used for media galleries as well as other content. It offers full CSS customization, custom skins, slider mode (for more traditional slideshows), and touch screen support. There’s also a premium version available.
* This looks excellent, but you must pay to use it.

- Nivo Slider <http://nivo.dev7studios.com/> includes 16 unique transition effects and tons of settings you can tweak to meet your needs.
The markup is all clean and valid, and the packed version is only 15kb. The Slider also includes support for HTML captions, keyboard navigation, and linking images, and comes with three themes.
* Downloaded free version for stand-alone websites. WordPress version is $19.

- Anything Slider for WordPress

- Dynamix

- WP-Cycle (Donato)

- Easing Slider (Brad Dalton's recommendation for responsive slider; can only create 1 per site)

Galleria jQuery Plugin
Description : Galleria is a javascript image gallery written in jQuery. It loads the images one by one from an unordered list and displays thumbnails when each image is loaded. It will create thumbnails for you if you choose so, scaled or unscaled, centered and cropped inside a fixed thumbnail box defined by CSS. Very cool plugin. **Responsive
